Abstract

The designated areas were inspected Saturday, March 9 , 1977. Initially, the areas immediately adjacent to the Ohoopee River (northeast of the existing oxidation pond) were checked. This area is now a boat launching and picnic area . Considerable alteration of this area has taken place in the clearing of trees and the canalization from the oxidation pond. No culturally significant material was observed on surface collection. The only feature observed was a "cemetery," apparently for animals, with several grave markers.
