Abstract

The proposed project would begin approximately 477 feet west of the bridge and end approximately 873 feet east of the bridge. The total project length would be approximately 1,350 feet (0.26 mile). The existing SR 136 typical section contains two 12-foot travel lanes with two-foot unpaved shoulders. The existing ROW is approximately 80 feet. The existing SR 136 bridge over Chickamauga Creek is approximately 93 feet long and 26 feet wide. The bridge contains two 12-foot travel lanes with one-foot shoulders. The proposed SR 136 typical section would be two 12-foot travel lanes with 10-foot boulders (four feet paved and six feet grassed). The proposed ROW would vary from 80 to 150 feet. The proposed bridge would be constructed on existing alignment. The proposed bridge would be approximately 300 feet long and 43 feet wide. The typical section of the proposed b dge would be two 12-foot travel lanes with eight-foot shoulders. The remaining three feet f the deck would contain the railing. During construction, the existing bridge would be closed and an off-site detour would be utilized. The proposed project would require approximately 1.60 acres of ROW. In addition, the project would require approximately 0.15 acre permanent easement, 0.167 acre of temporary driveway easements, and 0.103 acre temporary fence easements.
