Abstract

The proposed project consists of maintenance and minor repair on SR 21 from Rincon to Springfield, Georgia. The project includes milling, resurfacing, patching, striping, and curb cuts. There are 12 curb cut (wheelchair) ramps to be constructed. The existing typical section ranges from four to five 12-foot lanes with asphalt shoulders with right-of-way (ROW) varying throughout the project corridor. The project begins 1040 feet north of CSX railroad and ends approximately 700 feet north of the SR 21/SR 119 junction in Effingham County {Figures 1 and 2). No additional right-of-way or easement is required and the limits of construction will be 5 feet from the edge of pavement.
