As a part of the negative declaration update for this portion of the Moultrie Bypass, an archaeological assessment was made. The entire project is in an urbanized area with the exception of the land adjacent to Kapilco Creek. Upon examination, however, the creek proved to be an area of little archaeological potential. School construction has altered completely the eastern adjacent floodplain. The creek and the floodplain have also been altered by sewer line construction. It is the opinion of the staff archaeologist that there is no significant archaeological material to be found on this project.
