The proposed project would take place on SR 53 at the Georgia NortheasternRailroad crossing in Tate, Pickens County, Georgia. The project consists of the installation of warning device equipment on railroad right-of-way and the installation of advance warning signs and pavement markings on the roadway approaches to the crossing. The project also includes railroad tracks reconfiguration to reduce the number of tracks at the crossing from three to two. All work will be done within the existing rights-of-way.
