Abstract

The proposed project would consist of the reconstruction of the intersection at SR 515 and SR 53 approximately 1.4 km (0. 9 mi) west of the city of Jasper. The intersection will be redesigned to provide the addition of two off-set left turn lanes, acceleration and deceleration lanes, as well as grassed shoulders. Also included in the proposed project would be the upgrading of the existing signalization equipment. All construction would be limited to the existing right-of-way for the completion of the project. Existing right - of-way along SR 515 is approximately 137.2 m (450 ft); along SR 53 , the existing right-of-way is approximately 20.4 m (67 ft). An archaeological survey consistent with the project description was conducted along the entire project corridor.
