The proposed project includes widening of SR 232 from Old Belair Road/CR 221 east to Belair Road/SR 383. Improvements would include two-12-ft. travel lanes in each direction with a 14-ft. flush median and 10-ft. urban shoulders and sidewalk on each side. The roadway would be widened to accommodate 4-ft. bicycle lanes as well. Existing right-of-way varies from 100 ft. to 285 ft. along SR 232 within the project limits. Proposed right-of-way consists of strip tracts varying from 20 ft. wide to 45 ft. wide throughout the project limits on both sides of SR 232. Several larger tracts are required also around side roads for the construction of tie-ins.
