The proposed project would replace the SR 74 bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad (ID #718831X), located approximately 0.22 miles northeast of the intersection of SR 74 and SR 16 in eastern Coweta County. The existing typical section of SR 74 consists of two 12-foot travel lanes and a two-foot curb and gutter on each side. The existing right-of-way (ROW) is 130 feet in width. The project will include a typical urban section consisting of two 12-foot travel lanes with a two-and-a-half foot curb and gutter, and a 10-foot multi-use trail. The proposed bridge will be approximately 65 feet wide. The bridge length and the total project length are unknown at this time. The total ROW width is expected to vary from 75 feet to_ 305 feet.
