Cultural Resources Survey of Eight Parcels along the Upper Savannah River

Abstract

In order to meet federal mandates relating to the identification and protection of significant cultural resources, the Corps of Engineers, Savannah District contracted with Gulf Engineers and Consultants to survey eight parcels of Corps-owned land on which the Corps intends to take action. Gulf Engineers and Consultants contracted with Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. to conduct an intensive cultural resources survey of the parcels. The survey was conducted during the week of 11 June by the principal investigator and staff archeologist Ronnie Rogers.
