Abstract

This project spans a 9.1-mile stretch from the State Route (SR) 32/SR 99 convergence to Interstate (I-)95 in Glynn County; which includes the span from the SR 32/SR 99 convergence with I-95. The roadway will be widened from two lanes to four lanes separated by a raised median with median breaks at designated intervals. The typical section will consist of four 12-foot travel lanes, a 24-foot raised median, 4-foot inside shoulders, and 10-foot outside shoulders. A 6.5-foot section of the outside shoulders will be paved and will be designed to accommodate bicycles. The intersection of SR 99 and Spur 25 will be signalized. Five bridges and two bridge culverts will be replaced or extended. Proposed right-of-way (ROW) would range from 160 to 190 feet. The proposed speed limit would be 55 mph.
