Abstract

Cultural Resource Analysts, Inc., was contracted by EPIC RV Resort, LLC, to conduct a phase I archaeological survey for the proposed EPIC RV Resort in Camden County, Georgia. The project includes the construction of camp sites for recreational vehicles, along with infrastructure and amenities associated with the camp ground. The project area was located in Kingsland, Georgia, between May Creek Road and Interstate 95. In all, approximately 49.4 ha (122.0 acres; 0.2 sq mi) were surveyed during the current project. The archaeological survey was conducted from June 13 through June 16, 2017. The survey consisted of systematic screened shovel testing.

No previously unrecorded archaeological sites were identified within the proposed project area. No previously identified archaeological sites are located within the proposed project area. No archaeological sites listed in, or eligible for listing in, the National Register of Historic Places will be affected by the proposed construction activities. Therefore, no further archaeological investigations are recommended.
