This report covers the results of an airborne magnetometer survey of a proposed borrow area due south of Tybee Island, Chatham County, Georgia. The survey was conducted for the Savannah District', U. S. Army Corps of Engineers , in response to the need for investigating the possibility of adverse impact upon archeological values within the project area prior to dredging . Sediments from this borrow area are slated for removal and transport coincident with the beach replenishment project for Savannah Beach, which is funded by Federal, State and local monies.
