Abstract

In order to comply with the Section 106 process of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, this Historic Resources Evaluation report determines the rea of Potential Effect (APE) of the proposed Substation. In addition, this report determines the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) eligibility of resources surveyed within the APE. This report also determines the Adverse Effect, if any, of the Woodlore 230 kV Substation project on NRHP-eligible resources ·within the APE. If appropriate, this report documents Georgia Transmission Corporation's alternatives to avoid adverse effects and planning to minimize harm. The Mitigation of Adverse Effect is outlined in the Programmatic Agreement among the Rural Utilities Service, the Georgia State Historic Preservation Officer, the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation and Georgia Transmission Corporation, which was implemented in 2001.
