In February of 1997, Historic Preservation Consulting was hired by Oglethorpe Power Corporation to conduct a historic resource evaluation of the proposed St. George Tap 115kV Transmission Line and St. George 115/25kV substation project in Charlton County, GEORGIA.

This report contains a Project Location Map, which identifies the general location of the study area, and a Project Boundary and Map of Resources Surveyed, which identifies the project boundaries on a USGS Quadrangle map. Numbers on this second map are keyed to survey forms on each resource.

The Spring Creek Historic Resources Survey documents historic resources within the project boundaries identified on the Project Boundary and Map of Resources Surveyed.

The week of July 4, 2011, Brockington and Associates completed a background literature review and field investigations for a Phase I cultural resources survey for the proposed approximately 8 acre Mill Pond Road Substation site in Newton County, Georgia (Figure 1).
