The proposed project consists of maintenance and minor repair on SR 14 from West Point to LaGrange, Georgia. The project includes milling, resurfacing, striping, leveling, patching, and curb cuts. There are 7 curb cut (wheelchair) ramps to be constructed. The existing typical section consists of two 12-foot lanes with asphalt shoulders with right-of-way (ROW) varying throughout the project corridor. The proposed project takes place on a 14.341 mile section of SR 14 which begins 10 feet north of SR 18 (MP 0.877) in West Point and ends at the existing asphalt joint at Ferrell Drive (MP 15.183) in LaGrange (Figures 1 and 2). The project will take place within existing ROW. No additional ROW or easement is required and the limits of construction will be 5 feet from the edge of pavement.
