Abstract

As proposed, these projects consist of widening and reconstruction of U.S. 319 (S.R. 35) from the existing four-lane section near WMGA Radio Station in Moultrie to the intersection of U.S. 82 {S.R. 50) in Tifton (see attached location map). Under the proposal the existing two-lane section in Moultrie will be widened symmetrically to provide a five-lane urban section to just past County Road 496, a distance of 1.36 miles. This section will be built within existing right-of-way. The remainder of the project, except through the cities of Norman Park, Crosland, Omega, and a section from I-75 to the intersection of U.S. 82(S . R. 50) will be widened symmetrically to a four-lane (48 feet) rural section. Approximately 25 feet of additional right of way will be needed on each side. It is proposed to build a four-lane curb and gutter (52 ft.) section through the cities of Norman Park, Crosland, Omega and from I-75 to the intersection of U.S. 82 (S.R. 50) in Tifton. These sections will be built within the eixsting R/W.
