Abstract

The proposed TE project would construct a sidewalk on the south side of Sanford J. Jones Boulevard (SJJB) from the Wolf Creek Amphitheater parking area to Enon Road and a trail to run predominately in a north/south direction from SJJB to the planned Wolf Creek Soccer Complex near the Miles Road and Enon Road intersection.

The proposed project would begin across from the parking area for the Fulton County Public Safety Campus and the Wolf Creek Amphitheater by providing a 5-foot sidewalk adjacent to SJJB that would connect Enon Road, the trail head and the parking area. A 10-foot trail would depart from the roadway corridor to follow a course through the wooded area between Enon Road and the Fultonpounty landfill. To the extent possible the proposed trail would follow a previously disturbed corridor that defines an existing trail built as part of an outdoor archery venue for the 1996 Summer Olympics. Short segments of sideline trails would provide connectivity with and accessibility to the future Atlanta-Fulton Public Library. The project would include two trail roundabouts one at the junction with SJJB and the other at the southern end near the location of the future soccer fields. The total length of the proposed project is approximately 0.82 miles.
