The proposed project would construct 200 ft of additional eastbound left-tum lane storage on Brown Bridge Road. The proposed project APE is located at the Brown Bridge Road and Crowell Road intersection in Newton County and would extend the existing tum lane and modify the existing signal to improve safety. The proposed project is not anticipated to require any additional right-of-way (ROW) or easements. The project would add 270 linear feet of 6 to 8-ft wide edge treatment to the north and south shoulders of Brown Bridge Road beginning approximately 200 feet west of the intersection of Brown Bridge Road and Crowell Road. Additionally, approximately 200 linear feet of 6 to 8-ft wide edge treatment will be added to the north leg of Crowell Road along the east shoulder in order to accommodate left turning trucks.
