Abstract

The proposed project would consist the construction of a new bridge adjacent to the existing Crescent Avenue bridge over Silver Creek. The proposed project would begin along Cave Spring Road SW at its intersection with Crescent Avenue and extend approximately 360 feet along new alignment just to the South of the existing Crescent Avenue bridge over Silver Creek. Proposed improvements include the construction of new bridge structure just to the south of the existing bridge. The existing bridge would remain in place to continue carrying utilities and to serve as a pedestrian bridge (see Figures 1 and 2). The existing right-of-way along Crescent Avenue is approximately 40 feet, and the existing right-of-way along Cave Spring Street is approximately 55 feet. Additional right-of-way totaling approximately 0.26 acre would be required to construct the proposed project. Proposed right-of-way along Crescent Avenue would remain 40 feet east of the proposed bridge tie-in and would vary between 40 and 100 feet along the proposed bridge section and west to Cave Springs Street SW. No additional right-of-way would be required along Cave Springs Street SW. Permanent easement for the project would be 0.029 acre and temporary easement would be 0.168 acre. All project activity would be confined to the the east side of Cave Springs Street SW.
