The proposed project would build a new signalized at-grade railroad crossing and close two existing at-grade railroad crossings in Tyrone, Fayette County, Georgia. The new railroad crossing would be located approximately 65m north of the existing East Crestwood Road. The existing railroad crossings at Valleywood Road and East Crestwood Road would be permanently closed. Park Drive would be extended south, paralleling the railroad, and tying into an extended East Crestwood Road at North Crestwood Road. North Crestwood Road would be paved and extended over the railroad creating a new crossing and forming a new intersection at Senoia Road and West Crestwood Road. The total length of the proposed project is approximately 500m.
