This report documents that Georgia Transmission Corporation’s McConnell Road-Woodlore
230 kV Transmission Line project will not have an adverse effect on historic resources. The
Transmission Line will begin at the existing McConnell Road Substation on the south side of
Dallas Highway, will run approximately 750 feet north to the existing Lost Mountain
Substation, and will then be routed west and north, primarily along existing highways, to a
proposed new Woodlore Substation on the west side of Highway 92.
Georgia Transmission Corporation (GTC) planners utilized the Lost Mountain-Woodlore
Historic Resources Survey Report dated December 20, 2005 to route a line so as to avoid
adverse effects on historic resources.
