Abstract

Cardno has completed a Phase I archaeological survey in advance of the proposed installation of

the Valdosta LN-11 Pipeline Regulator and Monitor, in Lowndes County, Georgia. This letter has

been prepared to report the findings of Cardno’s Phase I archaeological survey in advance of the

installation of the Valdosta LN-11 Pipeline Regulator and Monitor. The proposed project, field

methods used by Cardno to complete Phase I investigations, and the results and management

recommendations based on findings are summarized below.

 

Cardno completed fieldwork for this project on May 18, 2016. The project area is in Lowndes

County, in southeastern Georgia, approximately 14.75 kilometers southwest of Valdosta, Georgia

(Figure 1). Southern Natural Gas Company, LLC (SNG), which is a wholly owned subsidiary of

Kinder Morgan Corporation, is proposing to install a regulator and monitor at an existing

aboveground facility along its existing Valdosta LN-11 pipeline. The project area is located at

approximately 30.753045° N, -83.400743° W, approximately 0.3 miles north of Knights Ferry

Road in Lowndes County, Georgia.
