We have reviewed the concept report on the above project for the proposed widening of S.R. 38/U.S. 84 from just east of County Road 195 to County Road 272 in Quitman. The existing two lane roadway will be widened to a four lane rural section with a 44 ft. grassed median for the first 5.3 miles± and a four lane urban section with 14ft. flush median for the last 0.7 of a mile. We believe this concept will improve safety and operational capacity along this section of roadway. We, therefore, concur with the attached report.
