This project includes a series of bridge projects, but this report deals with BRZLB-0217(4) located in Newton County. As the bridge replacements will be in-place, causing no further disruption of the right-of-way, there should not be an adverse impact on the State’s archaeological resources. This project is the in-place bridge replacement at County Road 143 over West Bear Creek in Newton County. The proposed project concept is to replace the existing steel, concrete, and timber bridge over the creek on Adams Road with a bridge culvert on the existing alignment. The bridge length will be 28.5 feet and the proposed structure will be a triple 9 foot by 8 foot bridge culvert.
