Abstract

The project consists of the replacement of an existing bridge (Structure ID 285-0006-0) carrying SR 1/US 27 over Long Cane Creek approximately 3.5 miles southeast of LaGrange in Troup County. The structurally deficient, three-span steel stringer bridge was built in 1948, measures 120 feet long and 32.2 feet wide, and has standard concrete railings, safety walks, and encased H-pile and concrete cap bents. The existing right-of-way (ROW) measures approximately 25 meters in width; the proposed ROW is unknown at this time.
