This project involves widening of Interstate 75 from 285 in Cobb County north to Allgood Road in Marietta. Four more lanes would be added within the median. No additional right-of-way will be required.
The project was plotted on the Marietta and Sandy Springs U.S.G.S. quad sheets. No bridge replacements would be involved. The construction would be in right-of-way that was altered upon initial construction. No archaeological sites could have survived. In my opinion, the archaeological resources of the state will not be affected by the construction of this interstate improvement project.
