This is named for the old town of Dallas, Tennessee, now at the bottom of Chickamauga Lake.

Sorting Criteria

Punctations on shell-tempered pottery. The punctations are found usually on the body. This type of decoration rarely occurs alone. Color is light to dark gray, light and dark brown, and brick red. Known vessel forms include shallow bowls and small globular jars.

Geographical Range
Found in Tennessee, northwestern Georgia, and surrounding areas.
Chronological Range
Late Mississippi period associated with Dallas and Mouse Creek phases.
