Ocmulgee Cord Marked II

Background

Frankie Snow set up these three types in 1977. They are geographically distinct areas that overlap to some degree. The variation is in terms of proportions of rim treatments in the different area.

Sorting Criteria

Fine cord marking on sand-tempered pottery.

Geographical Range
Lower Ocmulgee River valley between Ocmulgee Cord Marked I and III.
Chronological Range
Late Woodland.
Temper
