Abstract

On December 4, 5, and 6, 1991 and on March 13, 1992, New South Associates conducted a Phase I cultural resources survey of the Kennedy Parkway highway project near the intersection of I-75 and I-285 in Cobb County, Georgia for Moreland Altobelli Associates. The parkway will be new corridor and is intended to relieve traffic congestion on the two interstates. Two sites were relocated and three new sites were found. Three sites (NPS-5, NPS-6 and NS-1) were found to be potentially significant resources. Testing is recommended to clearly determine their eligibility for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places. No further work was recommended at two sites (NS-2 and NS-3).
