Brockington and Associates, Inc. conducted cultural resources background research on the Phoebe Hospital cell tower on 9 and 25 August 1999 and field investigation on 14 and 21 September 1999. This cell tower has already been installed. Based on current (1999) Georgia Department of Natural Resources (Historic Preservation Division) guidelines for Section 106 review of cell tower locations, the area of potential effect (APE) for the Phoebe Hospital cell tower site is a one mile radius around the cell tower site. As of September 2000, the tower height is known to be 150 feet (about 46 meters). Therefore, the one mile radius APE is sufficient.
