Abstract

Most of the pipe placement activities during this period were conducted on the inland residential streets (see Figure 1). Work progress was slow; due to inclement weather conditions. Again, Fred Cook's assistance was used in the identification of all prehistoric ceramic types. Four archaeological sites and one "archaeologically-sensitive area were located during this period.. These are'-shown on the "progress of the waterworks-improvements project" map for this period. All sites located were in close-proximity to either Cathead Creek or Darien River, both major waterways in this city.
