Abstract

This project consisted of the emergency repair of the flood damaged portion of Pool Road where it crosses over an unnamed tributary of Pool Creek (Figure 1 ). Specifically, the project consisted of the removal of flood debris and temporary fill, reconstruction of the roadway and shoulders, and dressing and regrassing the slopes. New striping and guardrails were also installed. All work was completed on October 21, 2009 and it took place within the existing 40-foot right-of-way. A site visit was conducted by Rodney Tobler, an ecologist at MAAI, who photographed the site. The project description and additional photographs and were provided by Douglas County. Shovel testing was not conducted because of previous disturbance and the fact that the undertaking has been completed. This material was evaluated by MAAI archaeologist Christopher Koch. No field notes were taken because the site visit was not made by an archaeologist.
