Abstract

The proposed project consists of replacing t11c SR 369 bridge over Six Mile Creek in Forsyth County, Georgia. The proposed project is located approximately 6.2 miles northeast of the City of Cumming and is approximately 0.41 mile long. The project proposes to replace the structurally deficient two-lane bridge with a new structure located just north of the existing bridge's current location. The proposed bridge would consist of two 12-foot travel lanes with 8-foot shoulders. The roadway approaches would be reconstructed to provide two 12-foot travel lanes and 10-foot shoulders (4-foot paved). The new bridge is being proposed on new location with the existing bridge to remain open to traffic during construction because there are no acceptable detour routes around this crossing of Six Mile Creek. The existing bridge would be removed upon completion of the new structure. Existing right-of-way (ROW) is 100 feet and proposed ROW 100 to 150 feet.
