The proposed project would reconstruct the I-75/SR53 interchange in Calhoun, Georgia. The proposed project would begin west of I-75 at Lovers Lane then would extend easterly along SR53 to Curtis Parkway for a distance of 0.5 miles.

This project is the replacement of a narrow and structurally deficient bridge on SR 111 over Turkey Creek, approximately 5 miles south of Cairo, Georgia. The existing bridge is 120' x 24' with timber pilings, timber caps, steel stringers, concrete deck with a sufficiency rating of 7.5.
