Project EDS-565(2) formerly EDS-440 Effingham County begins at a point north of the intersection of Old Middle Ground Rd. and SR21 at the end of the existing five-lane section, north of Rincon.

314 ft long x 24 ft wide concrete railroad overpass on existing 200 ft of right of way (100 ft left and 100 ft right). Proposed 320 ft long x 44 ft wide (estimated) concrete bridge structure over Southern Railroad. Proposed to use existing two-lane roadway parallel to U.S.

Existing structure a 119’ x 15.8’ wood deck bridge. Existing right of way 30 feet. Begins 700’ northwest of bridge and ends 500’ southeast of bridge. Replace existing bridge with a double double 9’ x 9’ concrete bridge culvert approx. 50 feet southwest of existing bridge.

162’ x 26’ concrete bridge structure existing right of way is 200 feet. Bridge over Turkey Branch is proposed to be symmetrically to 56. The bridge will be widened under traffic and no additional R/W would be required.

99 ft x 24 ft concrete bridge structure with steel H piling. 100 ft (50 ft left and 50 ft right) of existing right of way. Existing 99ft x 24 ft bridge structure is proposed to be widened symmetrically to obtain a 99 ft x 40 ft bridge structure on existing right of way.

105 ft. x 24 ft. timber and concrete bridge over Flat Creek. Eighty feet (40 ft. left and 40 ft. right) of existing right-of-way. Proposed triple 10 ft. x 10 ft. x 55 ft. concrete bridge culvert on existing alignment. No additional right-of-way would be required for this project.
