An archaeological survey was conducted of a 40 acre tract for the White County Recreation and Parks Department. "The survey area is slightly over two miles north of Cleveland, Georgia (see Figure 1) and is to be developed as a multiple use site by White County.

394 Paulk, Greg Okefenokee Swamp Survey: Clinch, Charlton, and Ware Counties

Field reconnaissance was conducted during January, February, April and May of 1980 by G. Paulk with assistance in the third quarter by J. Jones. The area of study was localized in the west central area of the swamp near the effluence of the Suwannee River.
