The proposed project would consist of sidewalk improvements to Clairmont Road in DeKalb, County. This would include the addition of 5-foot sidewalks, a 2-foot grassed or stamped strip, and curb and gutter (where not already present) along both sides of the roadway from its intersection with 1-85 to its intersection with Buford Highway. In areas where there is existing sidewalk, the sidewalk would be replaced if it is in poor condition or substandard. The need for drainage improvements will be identified and improvements made, where necessary. The majority of these improvements would be confined to existing right-of-way on both sides of the road (see attached location map). ROW widths would continue to range between 66 and 100 feet along US 23/Clairmont Road within the project limits.
