The proposed project would widen SR 3/US 19 in Thomaston, Georgia, in Upson County. The existing roadway is an urban section with two lanes in each direction and a two-way left turn lane on the southern third of the project. The proposed project would add a 20-foot raised median to the existing roadway. The total project length is approximately two (2) miles. In addition, Delray Road would be realigned to connect with SR 3/US 19 at Jimmerson Road, at a location approximately950 feet north of its current location.
