PI No. 371770, Harris County proposes to construct Phase 3 of a multi-use path to connect Phases 1 and 2 of the Palmetto Creek Walking and Bicycle Center from the City of Hamilton to the County Recreational Facility. The trail would be paved and when complete, 3.5 miles long and 12-feet wide with designated areas for benches and picnic tables and it would be lit with 45 decorative lamps that match the current style of lighting located around the courthouse and city square. This Phase 3 section is approximately 1 ,200 feet long.
PI No. 0009090, the City of Hamilton proposes to construct Phase 1 of trail amenities that would include a restroom facility, a multi-use pavilion, and install trail lighting. The structure would be approximately 25-x-40-feet, be at grade level on the east side and cantilever out over the north side. Stairs would be installed to connect the structure with the lower section of the trail. Trail lighting would give adequate light at dusk or for sanctioned evening events.
