Between July 23rd and August 16th, 1990, New South Associates, Inc. conducted archeological test excavations on two prehistoric sites (9Co45 and 9Co46) within the public use area of Allatoona Lake. The project was sponsored by the Mobile Corps of Engineers (Contract Number DACW01-90-C-0144).

Between November 14 and December 13, 1991, New South Associates conducted archeological data recovery excavations at the Lake Acworth Site (9Co45), a palisaded Mississippian village now located within the lands leased to Cobb Country, Georgia, at Allatoona Lake, Georgia.

New South Associates of Stone Mountain, Georgia, conducted a Phase I cultural resources survey within the North River Causeway project corridor between April 6 and April 8, 1994.

This report documents the results of the Phase II archeological testing of ten sites, 9FY77, 9FY80, 9FY82, 9FY83, 9FY84, 9FY86, 9FY94, 9FY106, 9FY108, and 9FY116, that are within the impact zone of the proposed Horton Creek Reservoir project, Fayette County, Georgia.

New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of Haddock Road in Camden County between July 2 and 3, 1997. The survey corridor is approximately 2 miles long with an 80 foot right-of-way, 40 feet on either side of the centerline.

This report represents the results of historic documentation and archaeological data recovery excavations at Site 9Gw347, the Annistown Mills Site, located on the Yellow River in Gwinnett County.

Phase 1II block excavations and machine stripping at site 9Jk173 -- within the proposed impoundment area of the Bear Creek Water Supply Reservoir of southwestern Jackson County -- yielded evidence for a single Late Cartersville ceramic component.
