The Driftwood Terrace project is a proposed apartment complex to be built by Davis and Sons Construction Company on the east side of Darien, Georgia (Figures 1 and 2).

The Live Oaks Company, LLC proposes to construct a power plant on acreage near the community of Sterling in Glynn County, Georgia (Figure I). A cultural resources survey was required under the Section 106 permitting process for the project.

Road improvements are planned for a 2.5-mile stretch of Carpenter Road west of Tifton Road. In order to comply with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as amended, a cultural resources survey was completed by Southwind Archaeological Enterprises in February, 2002.

The McIntosh County Industrial Authority proposes to develop a commercial/recreational complex on the Darien, Georgia waterfront. The initial phase of this development consists of construction of a 281.47-foot bulkhead along the river bank east of the U.S. 17 bridge (Register-Moody, 1984).

The archaeological studies in Darien were required in order to mitigate the construction impacts of the federally funded waste water treatment system.

The City of Valdosta, Georgia and the Georgia Dept. of Transportation propose improvements to four intersections on Jerry Jones Road/SR 784 in Valdosta. The project also includes construction of a new spillway and metal bulkhead at JoRee Millpond dam. SouthArc, Inc.

The City of Americus, Georgia proposes to develop a boardwalk for observation of wetlands at Rest Area #1, located on US 19/280 and Town Creek (Figure 1).

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) proposes to acquire real property for the construction of a Fisher House on McConnell Drive in Decatur DeKalb County Georgia.
