The area to be effected by the project is a corridor along Green Street and Sycamore Street for a total length of 3,500 feet. Much of the area had been cleared and graded (2250' approx) by the time of the survey. This area was surveyed on foot.

The Office of Campus Planning at the University of Georgia has proposed to build a bicycle trail from Riverbend Research Center to River Road. This trail will run along the floodplain of the west bank of the North Oconee River.

The southern half of the area to be effected by the proposed highway construction was surveyed on foot. This section begins approximately 200 yards west of the intersection of SR 15-US 441 and Milledge Ave. And terminates at the point where the proposed highway will intersect US 78.
