Brewton Hill Zoned Punctate


Used, but never formall defined by Antonio Waring in several of his papers that were eventually published in 1967. Type related to types of the Gulf Coast, with connections to the west. Perhaps related to Crystal River Zoned Red.

Sorting Criteria

Incised zones filled with punctates on sand or grit tempered pottery

Geographical Range
Chatham County, thus far known only from the Deptford site, 9Ch2 and perhaps as far north as the Fall Line along the Savannah River.
Chronological Range
Middle Woodland, part of the Deptford complex.
