A cultural resources survey was conducted on portions of five compartments of National Forest land in Walker, Chattooga, and Gordon Counties, Georgia, prior to timber operations such as thinning, clear cutting, tree removal, and road construction activities.

Phase II National Register testing and evaluation was completed at three archeological sites (Sites 9SN223, 9BK444, and 9JF329) located within Screven, Burke, and Jefferson Counties, Georgia respectively. The fieldwork was conducted by R.

This volume serves two functions. First, it is a status report to show the cultural heritage activities the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests have conducted over the past 16 years.

A cultural resource survey has been completed on February 25, 2004 for the Rich Mountain Road reconstruction project in Gilmer County, Georgia. The road is an existing, un-maintained road crossing Rich Mountain, Aaron Mountain, and Little Bald Mountain in the northern part of Gilmer County.

This report documents the results of the heritage resources survey for Stand 54, Compartment 933 for the Narrows Timber Sale in Chattooga County, Georgia (Figure 1). Twenty six acres were surveyed and one new site was recorded, as were two isolated finds (Figure 2).

A cultural resource survey has been completed on portions of 825 acres within Compartments 618 and 619, Toccoa Ranger District, Chattahoochee National Forest.

This report covers the emergency maintenance road repair of SR 17/75 in White County. This is in reference to our field visit on August 2, 2001 concerning emergency work to repair a slide on SR 17/75 in White County. This project plans to fix the potential landslide on Highway 17/75.

During June, 1988, Gulf Engineers & Consultants, Inc., and R. Christopher Goodwin & Associates, Inc. conducted archeological data recovery at Site 9Me219 on the Fort Benning Military Reservation.
