From May through June 1998, a cultural resource survey was conducted on the Oconee National Forest in Jasper County, Georgia by R.S. Webb and Associates. Approximately 1086 acres were surveyed prior to the West 11 timber sale. Thirty new archeological sites were identified.

The Oconee District of the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest plans to build a 7 acre shooting range in the southwestern comer of Putnam County, Georgia. The project is located in Compartment 141, Stands 4 and 9, on a northeast facing slope above Rock Creek.

This report covers a cultural resources survey of 94 acres completed in Greene County, Georgia on the Oconee National Forest in Compartment 188, Stand 6. The field survey was conducted by Jill Harrell during January and May 1999.

The proposed Godfrey Land Exchange Project includes approximately 182 acres of National Forest land adjacent to Godfrey Highway in Compartment 163, Putnam County, Georgia (Figures 1 and 2).

Phase II National Register testing and evaluation was completed at three archeological sites (Sites 9SN223, 9BK444, and 9JF329) located within Screven, Burke, and Jefferson Counties, Georgia respectively. The fieldwork was conducted by R.

The six resources recommended eligible and potentially eligible for the NRHP have been evaluated using the criteria of effect and adverse effect in 36 CFR Part 800.9.
