Cultural resources field surveys were completed in November 1994 prior to timber operations for southern pine beetle suppressions. Thus far, two ranger districts have been affected, the Chattooga and Tallulah on the Chattahoochee National Forest.

This inventory report covers surveys conducted and sites recorded from 1984 through 1992.

Cultural resources surveys have been completed for portions of the Brasstown Ranger District, Chattahoochee National Forest prior to Forest Service activities during FY93. These surveys are in Towns and Union Counties, Georgia.

Heritage resources surveys have been completed for 731 acres on the Brasstown Ranger District, Towns and Union Counties, Georgia. These field surveys were completed during October through December 1994 by Rebecca E.

Cultural resources surveys have been completed on 1,356 acres on the Brasstown Ranger District, Chattahoochee National Forest. These surveys have been conducted prior to planned land disturbing activities as timber sales, roads, and wildlife openings in Towns and Union Counties during FY91.

Heritage resources surveys have been completed for 770 acres on the Brasstown Ranger District, Towns and Union Counties, Georgia. These field surveys were completed during August through September 1995 by Ricardo Fernandez-Sardina and Rebecca E.

A cultural resources field survey and inventory has been completed on 210 acres in the Cohutta Ranger District for the Muddy Branch timber sale in Murray County, Georgia. These ten units are within Compartments 749 and 751.

A survey has been completed for sections of the proposed Pinhoti Trail crossing the ridges and valleys of the Armuchee Ranger District. It is 59 miles in length and begins near High Point and ends at Dug Mountain.

Cultural resources inventories have been completed for portions of the Brasstown Ranger District, Chattahoochee National Forest prior to Forest Service activities during FY92. These surveys are in Towns and Union Counties, Georgia.

This report is a compilation of various cultural resources surveys and sites that have been recorded in 1992. These surveys have been conducted for timber sales, a road widening, wildlife openings, and a volunteer project on the Chattooga Ranger District, Chattahoochee National Forest.
