An archaeological survey of portions of Wassaw National Wildlife Refuge, Georgia, located few archaeological sites. None of these sites will be adversely affected by proposed construction projects in the Refuge.

Archaeological investigations were conducted at the Darien Waterfront site, 9Mc367, in the spring and summer of 1990, following intensive archival research. Located on the Darien bluff, the site produced artifacts from a number of aboriginal occupations beginning about 2000 B.C.

This report summarizes the results of an archaeological survey of proposed beach parkway and parking area facilities at the Savannah Beach Museum, Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, Georgia.

During July of 1973 the authors conducted site visits and reconnaissance surveys of selected areas in eastern Bryan County, Georgia. The portion of the county examined extended from the mouth of the Ogeechee River south to the mouth of the Medway River.

In May 2005, archaeological excavations were undertaken in a single shell midden at a late prehistoric Irene phase site on Ossabaw Island, Georgia. In 1974, excavations at this midden had recovered material believed to be associated with the production of shell beads.

An archaeological survey of a proposed marina site at Strathy Hall Estates, near Richmond Hill, Bryan County, Georgia, was recently conducted by Charles Pearson, a graduate student in the Department of Anthropology, The University of Georgia.
