This report presents a detailed summary of archeological excavations undertaken at seven locations along the Savannah River in the central Piedmont of Georgia and South Carolina.

Intensive archaeological examination of a low and hammock in the tidal marsh on Big Tybee Hand in September 1990 documented a series if features and associated artifacts consistent with extant descriptions of a U.S.
