Between October 1983 and April 1984 Water and Air Research, Inc. conducted a cultural resources survey of portions of the Chattahoochee River basin within Fort Benning Military Reservation, Alabama and Georgia. The work was performed under contract with the U.S.

This report describes the results of test excavations carried out at Crange Hall in St. Marys, Georgia from June 22nd to the 27th, 1979. These tests were performed in compliance with 36 C.F.R.

The Driftwood Terrace project is a proposed apartment complex to be built by Davis and Sons Construction Company on the east side of Darien, Georgia (Figures 1 and 2).

The Savannah Economic Development Authority plans to develop a mixed usage business center in Chatham County, Georgia. Approximately one-third of the 1,784 acres will actually be developed; a large portion of the tract will be utilized as project green space.

The Live Oaks Company, LLC proposes to construct a power plant on acreage near the community of Sterling in Glynn County, Georgia (Figure I). A cultural resources survey was required under the Section 106 permitting process for the project.

The McIntosh County Industrial Authority proposes to develop a commercial/recreational complex on the Darien, Georgia waterfront. The initial phase of this development consists of construction of a 281.47-foot bulkhead along the river bank east of the U.S. 17 bridge (Register-Moody, 1984).

An archaeological survey of portions of the Darien sewer system project was conducted by Water and Air Research, Inc. (WAR) in order to locate potentially significant cultural resources and define historically archaeologically sensitive areas prior to construction.

The archaeological studies in Darien were required in order to mitigate the construction impacts of the federally funded waste water treatment system.

The City of Valdosta, Georgia and the Georgia Dept. of Transportation propose improvements to four intersections on Jerry Jones Road/SR 784 in Valdosta. The project also includes construction of a new spillway and metal bulkhead at JoRee Millpond dam. SouthArc, Inc.
