Archaeological study of approximately 321 acres of cultivated and wooded lands slated for industrial development (Columbia County Industrial Park) identified ten archaeological sites within the primary construction impact zone.

Camp Wahsega is located on Ward's Creek in northwestern Lumpkin County, Georgia. It was built in 1933 by members of Civilian Conservation Corps Camp F-11, who were Veterans of World War I.

The cultural resources survey was conducted on a parcel of 1,125 acres of National Forest land in Compartments 530 and 552 on the south side of Waters Creek in northwest Lumpkin County, Georgia.

This report describes a cultural resource survey conducted by the author on 3,045 acres in Chattooga County, Georgia. Field reconnaissance and subsurface testing located seven prehistoric sites which are considered potentially eligible for nomination to the National Register.

On April 13, 1984, the author, assisted by Jack T. Wynn, Forest Archaeologist, conducted investigations on six proposed wildlife openings and expansions in the Warwoman Wildlife Management Area in the Tallulah Ranger District of the Chattahoochee National Forest.

A cultural resources survey was conducted by the author on 602 acres of National Forest land in the Woody and Walker Creek drainages in northern Lumpkin County north of Fort Smith (now R Ranch).

During a 3-day period in February 1983, test excavations were conducted on the Hoojah Branch site, GA05S17, an upland prehistoric site in Rabun County, Georgia.

During November 28-29, 1983, the author conducted cultural resource surveys on a total of 366 acres in the Cohutta Ranger District of the Chattahoochee National Forest in Murray County, Georgia. The survey covered proposed timber sales and the proposed Rocky Flats Road (FS 630-D).

On April 23, 1984, the author conducted a cultural resource survey in Tract 185 of Compartment 172 on the Oconee National Forest.

From July 1983 to June 1984, cultural resource surveys were conducted on a total of 942 acres in the Oconee National Forest in Greene County, Georgia. The project areas included timber sales and three proposed road reconstructions.
